Just in time.

Exodus 33:14-16

And he said, “My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” And he said to him, “If your presence will not go with me, do not bring us up from here. For how shall it be known that I have found favor in your sight, I and your people? Is it not in your going with us, so that we are distinct, I and your people, from every other people on the face of the earth?”

After traveling across the Philippines for 4 months & visiting my awesome family, it was time to head back home. Tennessee, here we go.

We were exhausted yet couldn’t stop talking about how the whole trip went. It was a blast and it changed our lives forever.

So there we were at the airport waiting to board our flight going home. As we were waiting, my husband went to get us some hot cocoa and I started looking for a show for the boys to watch. One of our favorite family shows had a new episode. The show is called “Face Your Fears with the Moores”, and in that episode they were getting ready to move from Southern California to Boise, Idaho. It showed how difficult it was & how they overcame that fear as a family.

Cool! Perfect timing. The boys shouldn’t get bored with this as I think in my head.

They called our gate number & the boys’ show ended. While we were on our long flight home, we couldn’t stop dreaming & praying about moving somewhere new as well. My husband & I just looked at each other, “Did God really just drop Boise in our hearts?”. Suddenly, the Holy Spirit reminded us of some prophetic words we’d received before leaving Tennessee & while we were in the Philippines that one day soon, God would call us to move.

When we finally were “home” we weren’t even sure what was happening. We were excited to see everyone yet in our hearts we were wrestling with our dreams, timing, and practicality of what was to come. So after all the thinking, we noticed that we were slowly getting swallowed up in anxiety. It was time to stop & surrender it all. He reminded us of the peace that comes with His presence ( Exodus 33:14). We gained back the confidence & step by step we followed the pace of peace. We sold almost everything, filled a 5x8 trailer & hit the road.

Man, that two months of prepping was tough. I wasn’t sure if I was ready to leave our mom & the community the Lord had built around us over the past 5 years but yet His Word was so strong and His peace gave us a confidence to keep going.

When we finally arrived in Idaho and it was time to rest at our Airbnb, what was just a plan was suddenly our reality. Fear started to fill my heart, again. As a mom, I thought, “Did I just fail to plan for this?”, “Was it really God?”, and how can we even start our life here without knowing anyone in this state?”. But then Ezekiel, our 4 year old, randomly asked, “Hey daddy, where are we in Idaho?” Josh replied, “We are now in Boise, Idaho.” Ezekiel answered back, “Boise, Idaho, we are just in time.”

I wept and the spirit of fear completely left as His Presence came in and my heart was filled with joyful expectation for the things that were to come. He never left us and He never will. I want to encourage you today to hold onto what He has said to you. Run towards Him and be confident in His voice no matter what He is asking of you. Let His Presence comfort you and lead you as you follow Him. He will take care of you when you trust in Him. He is good and the plans and future He has for you are good. All we have to do is respond to Him and when we do that we can be sure we get where He is leading us, just in time.

being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 1:6
